Metroid was first released August 6th in 1986.
It was the first game to combine with platforming and adventuring with its labyrinth of a map taking place on the Planet Zebes with catchy music, rewarding gameplay, and at the time twist ending Metroid was a classic and would be 1 of Nintendo's top franchises. Samus to this day is still my favorite videogame character in gaming. Hopefully we'll get another game in the future.
